2D & 3D Animator 3.1
Old versionsSee all
2D & 3D Animator helps you create simple animations. Thus, the tool can create such graphic elements as banners, buttons and logos, which are frequently used on webpages. Although creating animations is, most of the time, a difficult task, this program makes it easier by providing several templates. Besides, the accompanying help documentation comes with a section written in a tutorial form, which is particularly helpful in understanding how the program works. Unfortunately, the program’s interface is not very attractive and looks rather old-fashioned.
The program is great for creating animations based on an object-oriented design, which means that you can place objects (called “sprites”) on a timeline having multiple layers. Then, effects can be applied to these objects and different types of motions can be configured. Luckily, you don’t have to start from scratch because the application allows you to import pictures of most popular formats. As you do your work, the results can be systematically previewed. Then, when the animation finally looks as you want, it can be easily exported to various image formats (including animated GIF) or as video in AVI format. Unfortunately, such popular formats as Flash and HTML5 are not supported. An additional possibility is to upload the animation directly to an FTP site. The program can optimize file size by eliminating unnecessary material, which is very important when we’re creating elements for the web.
All in all, 2D & 3D Animator has the advantages of being not so difficult to use and producing decent results. However, this tool certainly is lagging behind many other similar products.
